The provocation for the February 2023 issue of Burrow is: What does mental health (good or otherwise) look like through the prism of non-human companions?
How do your non-human companions help you with mental well-being? Maybe you treasure those brief encounters with wild animals or share your life with much-loved pets or family heirlooms. Burrow has run with this provocation previously. And it was a huge success. We just had to return to the well.
We interpret the provocation very loosely. It is really up to you to define or reimagine the theme in a way that is helpful. Be brave and bold, have a go, and send us your best. We are inclusive and value our readers and contributors. We can’t wait to read what you come up with.
