PFN – Assignment Literary Magazine Seeking Submissions with the Theme of Erosion
Submit to our winter 2024 issue “Erosion” today!
Assignment Literary Magazine is seeking submissions of poetry, short fiction or micro/flash fiction and non-fiction to be featured in our Winter 2024 Issue: Erosion. Erosion can be the process of breaking down, of gradual destruction. It is usually silent, constant, and unavoidable. Relationships can erode, carrying away trust and belonging, just as stone can be worn smooth, its debris dissolved and carried away with the tide. We are looking for fiction that represents this process.
- We accept poetry, fiction, non-fiction, micro/flash fiction, or even any other literature that doesn’t quite fit any of those categories. We are excited to see the work you’re excited about,
- We do accept simultaneous submissions, but in the event your work is accepted elsewhere (yay!) we ask you to please inform us as soon as possible.
- Please only submit once per submission period; multiple submissions will generally not be considered, although for work less than 300 words, you may include multiple pieces in one submission. Please format your work so there is only one piece per page,
- Please place your genre in the title of your submission,
- Please include a third person biography with your submission no longer than 100 words.
- All work must be original (no use of AI in its creation) and previously unpublished.
- Work must be proofread and ready for publication.
- Please do not have your name or other identifying information on your submission.
- We have no minimum for word count, but we ask that you don’t exceed 3,500 words (Submissions longer than 3,500 words will not be considered) or up to 5 poems.
If your work is accepted, you will be notified via Submittable by the end of October 2024 for publication on December 20, 2024. There is no need to follow-up any sooner than October 31, 2024. Thank you for trusting us with your work, we hope to give it a home.
