To submit to chouette, please send an email to chouetteliterary@gmail.com. The subject line should contain your full name and submission category (ie. Elizabeth Bennett / Fiction), and your document should be attached as a .pdf or .docx file. All submissions should be double-spaced and in an easy-to-read font (ie. Times New Roman or EB Garamond —our personal favourite!). If you are submitting to more than one category (i.e., Fiction and Poetry), please send separate email submissions.
SUBMISSION CATEGORIES
POETRY
Please submit no more than three poems, to a maximum of five pages.
FICTION
Please submit one fiction piece of no more than 2500 words. If you’re submitting flash fiction, you may submit up to three pieces of no more than 2500 words total.
NON-FICTION
Please submit one non-fiction piece of no more than 2500 words. Creative non-fiction includes, but is not limited to: memoir, personal essay, journalistic essay.
