F – Necessary Fiction Seeking Stories about: Dangerous Creatures
This October, we’re publishing spooky stories with the theme “Dangerous Creatures.” As the introduction to Jeffrey Jerome Cohen’s seminal collection Monster Theory states: “We live in a time of monsters.” So send us your monsters—your cryptids, your undead, your aliens, your un-human creatures, your bodies of difference, your destroyer of straightforward categories and binaries. Because stories will be published in October, we ask that you do not send “this politician is a monster”-type of story; take us somewhere deeper and more thought-provoking.
Guidelines:
We accept unpublished fiction up to 3,000 words only. Simultaneous submissions are fine but multiple submissions are not. Please double space your submission. You can expect to hear back from us no later than mid-August.
