P – As Above So Below Seeks Submissions With the Theme: “Blood/Water”
The title comes from the axiom: “as above so below, as within so without” and dates to the 8/9th century where its earliest recording is in Arabic on the Emerald Tablet. There are many interpretations and a great deal of scholarly research based on it, but in essence I think of it as: all life is interconnected; the microcosm reflects the macrocosm.
The theme is Blood / Water
Topics you could explore: lakes, the sea, streams, rivers, inner-replenishment, what’s taken for granted/seen as special, puddles, watering cans, kettles not boiling, your favourite hot beverage, inter-connectivity, veins being like branches of a tree, moon cycles, seven generations back/seven generations forwards, water memory, blood memory…
