P – Poetry London Prize
Ends on
The Poetry London Prize is a major, internationally renowned award for a single outstanding poem.
First prize is £5,000, second prize is £2,000 and third prize is £1,000. The judge of the 2022 Prize is Romalyn Ante.
Romalyn Ante’s debut collection, ‘Antiemetic for Homesickness’ (Chatto & Windus) was an Irish Times Best Poetry Book of 2020, an Observer Poetry Book of the Month and a Poetry School Poetry Book of the Year 2020. Romalyn also hosts a series of video interviews, Tsaá with Roma.
Entry costs £8 per poem, or £4 per poem for subscribers. There are a limited number of free entries for writers on low incomes. Please select the correct fee option when you enter.
To get the subscriber price, you do not need to be an existing subscriber. You can subscribe using this form, select the ‘subscriber’ poem fees, and check out at the same time as you pay for your entry.
If you’re entering more than 5 poems, it works out cheaper to get a subscription and use the lower fee, so why not enter your poems and get a year of fantastic poetry delivered to your door?
Each poem should be uploaded in a separate document. Your name should not appear anywhere on any of the poem documents, as all submissions will be judged anonymously.
You can read the full competition rules and guidelines here.
Don’t worry if you’ve made a mistake on the form. Just let us know and we’ll sort it out!
