PFN – Amsterdam Quarterly Issue #38. Theme: “MACRO micro”

July 31, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

AQ38’s theme, (submission period the month of July 2023), is MACRO micro. Submit work about whether you view your life and the world through a microscope or a telescope or perhaps from both perspectives. Mention the major and the minor issues, concerns, goals, living conditions, etc. that are just as important to you.

You may submit work to Amsterdam Quarterly at submissions@amsterdamquarterly.org

Work must be previously unpublished and submitted in a recent Microsoft Word file format. (Self-published work is considered as published). Poems should be no longer than two A4 pages; articles, fiction, essays and other prose, no more than 3,000 words. Submit no more than two pieces (for example, two poems or one poem and one short story) per person per reading period. Please indicate your last name and Amsterdam Quarterly submission in the subject line of your e-mail.

AQ retains first publication and serialization rights for its online magazine as well as for its print-on-demand yearbook. No simultaneous submissions. Please note: due to increased postage and printing costs and new customs duties and tariffs, as of issue #33 (spring 2022), AQ will only be able to offer one copy of the AQ Yearbook as payment to its published writers for their work.
