PFN – Call for Submissions to The Suburban Review. Theme: Hype
Put down the to-do lists and pull out the confetti—we’re feeling HYPEd to bring you the first TSR issue of 2024. TSR #33: HYPE is now open for submissions across fiction, poetry and essay,
The Suburban Review accepts previously unpublished work. We allow simultaneous submissions. If it’s been accepted elsewhere just let us know through Submittable or email us at submissions@theusburbanreview.com with “Withdrawing submission” as your subject line. We only allow one submission per person (that means you need to choose if you want to submit fiction, non-fiction, or poetry). To submit poetry (that’s a maximum of 3 poems), make sure all the poems are in a single document.
Send us stories that announce themselves like a new year rolling in, literary essays about the latest ‘in thing’ you’re avoiding, or poems that straddle the intimate and public. HYPE is whatever you make it—a gaggle of pre-teens in line at Sephora, a quiet knock at the door, a cup of tea and a bathtub.
