PFN – Libretto Magazine Call for Submissions, Issue 11. Theme: Consciousness

Libretto Magazine seeks unique works with strong sense of empathy, introspection, and courage; works that are evocative and that possess the capacity to redefine perception. This is to encourage diverse voices to share their experiences, opinions, and insights on conscious-related issues. Contributors are also allowed to explore the theme in a manner that defies convention.

Send in your experiences and desires, your vulnerability and hope, as well as your dreams and despair in relation to the theme. We want voice. We want artistry. We want heart. The selection process is set to be thoroughly rigorous, therefore, endeavor to submit only your best work of art. Please carefully read the following submission guidelines before submitting your work:

Submission Deadline: March 31, 2024

Theme: Consciousness

Submission Categories:

  1. Creative Fiction: Original, compelling short stories that captivate and resonate with the theme. Submit up to 2,500-3,000 words..
  2. Creative Non-Fiction: Thoughtful essays, memoirs, or articles that explore contemporary issues, personal experiences, or societal observations. Submit up to 2,500-3,000 words.
  3. Poetry: Expressive and evocative poems that showcase a mastery of language and a unique poetic voice. Submit up to 3-5 poems in not more than 10 pages.
  4. Flash Fiction: Concise and impactful stories with a maximum word count of 1,200 words.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  1. Format: Submissions should be in 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, and submitted in a standard document format (.doc or .docx for written submissions, JPEG or PNG for visual submissions).
  2. Cover Letter: Include a brief cover letter with your submission, mentioning your name, contact information, a short bio, and a brief description of your submitted work and include your social handles.
  3. Multiple Submissions: We do not accept multiple submissions.
  4. Previously Unpublished: We accept only original and previously unpublished works. Please do not submit pieces that have been published elsewhere.
  5. Simultaneous Submissions: While simultaneous submissions are accepted, we kindly ask that you notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
  6. Rights: We request the right to publish and archive your work. All other rights revert to the author/artist upon publication.
