PFN – Rosetta Literary Seeking Submissions on the Theme: Undercurrent
For Issue 2, Rosetta is looking for writers and artists aged 14+ that want to make a splash. Write about the things that float under the radar, write about real-world issues, write about things that hurt, write about things that rage. Bring us your new perspective, bring us the tide. We also invite you to play with form (white space, stanzas, etc.) and show us the depths of your artistic creativity within your work. While imagery is important for all writers, we want to see more of it in this issue as well. Also, your submission doesn’t need ocean imagery.
guidelines
We ask that all submissions are in Times New Roman, 12 point font, and are single spaced (poetry) or double spaced (prose). You may submit up to five poems and three prose pieces (all in separate files please). Poems shouldn’t be longer than 3 pages each, and prose submissions should not be longer than 15 pages. Works in a different language are allowed (and encouraged!) but an English translation must be provided for our editors. If selected, both versions will be published. Also, if you submit a document, please turn on sharing view for everyone.
We accept previously unpublished and previously published writing. For the former, we ask for First North American Serial and Electronic Serial Rights, and for the latter we ask for Second North American Serial and Electronic Serial Rights. Simultaneous submissions are allowed and encouraged.
AI generated content is prohibited and we expect all work to be original!
dates & deadlines
The deadline to submit is 7/31/2025 and we plan on publishing our first issue in late August. If you submit, please expect an email response a month or two after submission with either a rejection, acceptance, or acceptance with edits (which is where if you choose, we will work with you to edit the piece into something that aligns closer with the quality we are looking for).
