GUIDELINES
There are things we carry with us through life: physical, emotional, metaphorical. A teddy bear you’ve had since you were a child, the resentment at a family member who let you down, the fear which keeps you awake at night. All of these come with a cost. Upset stomachs, sleepless nights, disconnection, anxiety, worry, money, physical costs.
Free yourself. Tell us about it.
We prefer 12-point font in Times New Roman or Arial. Do NOT double space prose.
We prefer .doc or .docx format.
There is no cover letter requirement. You may choose to add a cover letter as the first page of your submission; however, it is not required.
Poetry can be any form. Individual poems can be up to 3 pages. You may send up to 3 poems.
Individual micro fiction pieces should be no longer than 500 words. Individual flash fiction pieces should be no longer than 5000 words. You may send up to 2 pieces.
Individual essays should be no longer than 2500 words. You may send up to 2 pieces.
When citing any sources, you may use either MLA or Chicago style
Individual creative non-fiction (cnf) pieces should be no longer than 2500 words. You may send up to 2 pieces.
Selected submissions will receive choice of either: 1 (one) copy of the anthology or $10 payable through PayPal. You are asked to choose upon submission and you will not be able to change your selection.
We are accepting simultaneous submissions. Please notify us immediately if your piece is selected somewhere else. And congratulations if it is! Yay you!
