PFN – Writers Online’s Writing Magazine Competitions. Theme: “Blue”

The challenge this month is to find a treatment that stands out in a wide open ocean.
The theme is ‘blue’, but how you interpret and handle that – maybe literally, maybe in one of its varied metaphorical meanings – is entirely up to you.
Your story should be 1,500-1,700 words. The closing date is 15 October.
Prize
- Short stories: £200 first prize; £50 for second
- Poetry: £100 first prize; £50 for second
They are open to all writers, requiring a £7.50 entry fee, or £5 if you are a Writing Magazine subscriber.
