DESCRIPTION:Farmer-ish is a journal dedicated to all things farmer–with a literary and educational slant. This journal is the culmination of my life’s work as a writing teacher\, writer\, and farmer. In the pages of this journal\, you will find coverage for everything from raising chickens to jam recipes to poetry about farming and Nature. In difficult times like these\, many are finding themselves more interested in growing food\, becoming makers\, and living more connectedly to Nature and their local farming communities. Our goal is to provide engaging and educational essays and how-to pieces for those interested in doing things like raising chickens\, gardening\, canning\, and sewing.
