SUMMARY:P - As Above So Below Seeks Submissions With the Theme: "Blood/Water"
DESCRIPTION:The title comes from the axiom: “as above so below\, as within so without” and dates to the 8/9th century where its earliest recording is in Arabic on the Emerald Tablet. There are many interpretations and a great deal of scholarly research based on it\, but in essence I think of it as: all life is interconnected; the microcosm reflects the macrocosm. \nThe theme is Blood / Water \nTopics you could explore: lakes\, the sea\, streams\, rivers\, inner-replenishment\, what’s taken for granted/seen as special\, puddles\, watering cans\, kettles not boiling\, your favourite hot beverage\, inter-connectivity\, veins being like branches of a tree\, moon cycles\, seven generations back/seven generations forwards\, water memory\, blood memory… \nSubmissions\n\n\nSend 1 – 4 poems in one single document \n\n\nMaximum 40 lines each \n\n\nInclude a brief paragraph saying what inspired the poem(s) within the body of the email \n\n\nA biography of no more than 75 words within the body of the email \n\n\nAttach a Word Doc\, 12 point\, Times New Roman \n\n\nPublished and unpublished poems are welcome\, as long as credits are provided   \nDeadline is midnight on 21st November
