DESCRIPTION:Submission Call: Holocaust Memorial Day 2023\n18/8/2022 \n\n\n\n\nHolocaust Memorial Day on January 27th 2023 encourages remembrance in a world scarred by genocide. The international day remembers the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust\, alongside the millions of other people killed under Nazi persecution of other groups and in genocides that followed in Cambodia\, Rwanda\, Bosnia and Darfur. The theme for 2023 is Ordinary People.\n\n \n\n\n\nWe are looking for poems in memorial\, in protest\, reflecting or looking forward\, poems that lament but also inspire that tie in with the theme of Ordinary People: perpetrators as ordinary people\, persecuted people as ordinary people\, rescuers as ordinary people\, and ordinary people as bystanders \nAll accepted poems will be published in a free downloadable e-pamphlet\, to be released on HMD 2023. \n​To help inspire you\, read more about this year’s theme on the HMD website\, and have a look at our HMD anthology from 2016. \nSubmission Guidelines:\nSend a maximum of three poems in one Word document.\nPlease include a brief third-person biog with your submission (max. 50 words).\nEmail your poems to thepenpointsnorth@outlook.com.\nDeadline: 18th December 2022.
