DESCRIPTION:Submissions should be emailed to magazine@synkroniciti.com. Please place your name and the category of submission in the subject field of your e-mail. \nYou may submit more than one entry in one or more categories.  We are working toward being able to pay sustainable honorariums to everyone. \nPending payment\, all submissions will receive a response shortly after our submission deadline. If your work is selected you will be asked for biographical information and we will work with you to make sure that your work is displayed in a way that makes you happy. If you are not already a subscriber\, you will receive the issue of Synkroniciti Magazine that features it for free. \nDon’t want to pay submission fees? Become a subscriber ($10 every six months/2 issues) and you will have unlimited free entries (as long as you are subscribed). \nIf your work is selected we request the right to publish it in both the e-book and the website archive of Synkroniciti Magazine. We accept simultaneous submissions and pre-published work (contingent upon the other parties involved allowing publication). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPoetry Submission \n\n\nSend up to 5 poems in Word or pdf format. We prefer free verse and are more fond of visual poetry than formal rhyme schemes\, although rhyming does not disqualify your work. We will also consider poems in other languages with an English translation (poem and translation counts as one poem and both parts will be printed). DESCRIPTION:When Alice Cooper sang The telephone was ringing …. he established a real sense of urgency. Somebody had to deal with the phone! What happened? Now our devices natter away\, pulling us this way and that. \nHave a “work phone” and a “personal”\, maybe a “secret phone” for only certain people? We are interested in how all of this has changed us and our behaviors. Past\, present\, future––pretend\, or all too real. \nSend us your best stories of approximately fifty words about Phones in the body of an email to: blinkinkinfo@gmail.com. Submissions are open June 1st\, 2025 through July 15th\, 2025. No attachments\, poetry\, bios\, or AI generated content\, please. We love poetry but do not publish it. \nWhat we love most is writing that has found that preternatural detail of thought or thing that cracks the story open and allows it to matter or to reveal a truth. \nNearly all of our issues are themed and guidelines specific to the current theme along with opening and closing dates for submissions to those issues will appear here on our website\, on our Facebook page and in New Pages and Duotrope. \nWe want your best\, original and unpublished work and will consider up to four stories at any one time. We do reply personally to every submission and every query. DESCRIPTION:We publish literary work on mothers\, mothering\, and motherhood\, in all its forms. You need not be a mother to submit\, as long as your piece is focused on motherhood.  \nMER 24 will be a themed issue. The theme is \nMER 24: Mother & Family \nOften\, as mothers\, we are the nuclei of families—of the legacies\, obligations\, and stories that orbit around us. Family of heritage\, family of birth\, family of choice\, our greater human family: our families can be sources of support\, of exhaustion\, of love\, of pain.  Our families can pass down to us lore or trauma. For MER 24\, we are exploring poems that address our role as mother in these unwieldy units\, how we embroider with and untangle these familial threads that can heal or hinder. Send us your poems\, your family recipes\, your generational myths\, your memories that you’ve borne\, your visions for the future. \nPlease read our print journal and online quarterly: http://merliterary.com \nWe publish poetry (up to 3 poems\, no more than 5 pages)\, and fiction\, creative prose/nonfiction\, and hybrid works (up to 1000 words) on mothering or motherhood.
