DESCRIPTION:What does it mean to you to be truly Free–to live your best life no matter your health or caregiving challenges? \n\nTo be free of a diagnosis or illness because you have healed or overcome the worst of it?\nTo come to place of resolve or acceptance with any diagnosis or illness–yours or that of a loved one?\nTo have found a way to share caregiving responsibilities?\n\nWhat does it look like for you when you do not feel free? \n\nTo be tethered to illness and what that diagnosis requires of you\nTo be a caregiver\nWhen life\, relationships\, or health make you feel anything but free?\n\nOur PSM Issue #17 theme provides an opportunity to reflect on how health — mind\, body\, and spirit — limit\, challenge\, define or inspire our ability to feel free. \nFor providers: What does it mean to feel free to provide the care you believe is necessary? To care for not only your patients\, but those you love? What does free healthcare mean to you? \nThese are the stories in all forms–creative nonfiction\, short stories\, and poetry–we are curating for Fall Issue #17. \nAs always – our theme is a place to start. Be sure to follow all Please See Me general Submission Guidelines\, and consider entering our Mental Health Awareness Writing Contest! \n  \nSubmission Guidelines\nPoetry\nPlease submit a maximum of three poems at a time. \nFiction\nPlease submit short stories up to 4\,000 words in length\, double-spaced\, 12 point serif font. \nCreative Nonfiction\nPlease submit nonfiction pieces up to 4\,000 words in length\, double-spaced\, 12 point serif font. \nWe will look at excepts of longer works on a case-by-case basis; please query us with a description of your project before submitting longer work.

SUMMARY:PFN - Limit Experience Journal Seeking Submissions on the Theme: Sexual Congruency and the Wilds Within
DESCRIPTION:Sexual congruency generally refers to the internal alignment and harmony between a person’s sexual identity\, orientation\, desires\, and outward expression. It’s when someone’s internal sense of their sexuality—how they feel\, who they’re attracted to\, what they want—is in sync with how they live and express it in the world. It doesn’t necessarily mean conformity to external norms or expectations\, but rather a kind of internal coherence\, authenticity\, and truthfulness to self. \nFor some\, sexual congruency might come naturally; for others\, it might require a long process of unlearning shame\, navigating societal pressures\, or coming to terms with identity. \nAt its core\, sexual congruency is about feeling whole and honest in one’s sexual self which requires yielding to inner truth while navigating the persona we present while engaging in external experience. \nWe’re interested in reviewing work that is daring yet not overly performative. Honest but willful in its exploration of edges. We look forward to hearing from you. \n  \nSubmission fee: $6.93
