GUIDELINES<\/h5>\n

There are things we carry with us through life: physical, emotional, metaphorical. \u00a0A teddy bear you\u2019ve had since you were a child, the resentment at a family member who let you down, the fear which keeps you awake at night. All of these come with a cost. Upset stomachs, sleepless nights, disconnection, anxiety, worry, money, physical costs.<\/p>\n

Free yourself. Tell us about it.<\/p>\n

We prefer 12-point font in Times New Roman or Arial. Do NOT double space prose.<\/p>\n

We prefer .doc or .docx format.<\/p>\n

There is no cover letter requirement. You may choose to add a cover letter as the first page of your submission; however, it is\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0required.<\/p>\n

Poetry<\/a><\/p>\n

Poetry can be any form. Individual poems can be up to 3 pages. You may send up to 3 poems.<\/p>\n

Micro and Flash Fiction<\/a><\/p>\n

Individual micro fiction pieces should be no longer than 500 words. Individual flash fiction pieces should be no longer than 5000 words. You may send up to 2 pieces.<\/p>\n

Essays<\/a><\/p>\n

Individual essays should be no longer than 2500 words. You may send up to 2 pieces.<\/p>\n

When citing any sources, you may use either MLA or Chicago style<\/p>\n

Creative Non-Fiction<\/a><\/p>\n

Individual creative non-fiction (cnf) pieces should be no longer than 2500 words. You may send up to 2 pieces.<\/p>\n

PAYMENT<\/a><\/p>\n

Selected submissions will receive choice of either: 1 (one) copy of the anthology or $10 payable through PayPal. You are asked to choose upon submission and you will not be able to change your selection.<\/p>\n

Simultaneous Submissions<\/a><\/p>\n
