Plug-In & Connect Contest<\/strong><\/span><\/center><\/p>\n

We look for fun and upbeat narrative content to publish in the journal and this issue’s contest is all about characters finding a deeper level of connection with their fellow beings-human or otherwise. How do your characters connect for mutual assistance, emotional support, understanding? Submit short stories and poems exploring the meaning of true connection and the nourishment it can supply.<\/p>\n

Submissions are due\u00a0July 6th, 2022<\/strong>. For more info on how to submit, read our\u00a0submissions page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The contest winner will receive a $50 gift card to an online retailer of their choice.<\/p>\n

Email up to 5 poems or 15 pages of prose to the link at the bottom of the page. Please send your text submissions as MS Word documents (.doc, .docx, .rtf formats) or cut and paste the document into your email.<\/p>\n

Please include a short contributor biography about you and your writing. If you have a website or current project that you want readers to see online, include a link and we will post it with your work if accepted.<\/p>\n

All rights to the prose posted on Imitation Fruit<\/em>\u00a0belong to the original creators. We will keep work that has been presented in\u00a0Imitation Fruit<\/em> in our back issues catalog so that the work will still be available to readers after the current issue. Please let us know if you would like us to remove your content from the back issues. We do not pay for writing used in Imitation Fruit Literary Journal<\/em>. We do however encourage writers and artists to use the site as a way of promoting their work.<\/p>\n
