Show the best (and worst) parts of your fictional world.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"font_7\"><span class=\"wixGuard\">\u200bFiction <\/span><\/h3>\n<h6 class=\"font_7\"><span class=\"wixGuard\">Flash <\/span><span class=\"wixGuard\">Fiction: up to 1,000 words, Short Story: 1,000 to 5,000 words<\/span><\/h6>\n<h3>Nonfiction<\/h3>\n<p>Essay: up to 5,000 words, Narrative Nonfiction: up to 5,000 words<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"font_7\"><span class=\"wixGuard\">Poetry<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"font_7\"><span class=\"wixGuard\"> Up to 15 lines; up to 2 pieces<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"font_2\">Submissions &amp; Formatting<\/h2>\n<p class=\"font_7\">We hold simultaneous open calls and require specific Title Information (below) to ensure the correct team reviews your work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">Entries must meet the following general formatting requirements:<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">Arial or Times New Roman, size 10 or 12pt, black text only<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">Single spaced<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">No extra spaces\u00a0between lines or paragraphs except for scene breaks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">1&#8243; empty margins on all four sides<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">0.5&#8243; (12.7mm) or Tab indentations for all paragraphs<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">Do not use the spacebar for indentations<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">Empty line for scene breaks<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">Do not include your title a second time before your entry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">Tip:\u00a0Keep things simple!<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\">The Writer&#8217;s Workout uses industry standard formatting; it&#8217;s designed to let the work shine without extra flourishes and unnecessary efforts.
