Theme: &#8220;Dream&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Timberline Review: General Guidelines<\/h1>\n<p><strong>Willamette Writers<\/strong>\u00a0invites you to submit to our two programs,\u00a0<em>the Timberline Review\u00a0<\/em>and Kay Snow Awards. The theme this year is\u00a0<strong>DREAM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>New this year, if you submit to\u00a0<em>the<\/em>\u00a0<em>Timberline Review,\u00a0<\/em>your piece is automatically entered into the Kay Snow Awards! As always, Willamette Writers members may submit to\u00a0<em>Timberline Review<\/em>\u00a0free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for\u00a0<em>the Timberline Review<\/em>\u00a0this submission year is \u201cDream.\u201d\u00a0 Dreams can be aspirations, they can be ethereal, they can be unreal or surreal. Dreams are open for interpretation, aren\u2019t they? Use your imagination!<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking work in the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Poetry<\/li>\n<li>Fiction (flash, short story, novella, and novel excerpt)<\/li>\n<li>Creative nonfiction (including essay and memoir) and Critical commentary (Writing about writing including literary analysis, and craft instruction)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year, the Kay Snow Award will be chosen by our editorial staff and given to (1) the top piece and (2) the runner-up in each of the above categories. We are seeking submissions from writers 18 and up. Details about Kay Snow Student Submissions will be announced in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>As always, Willamette Writers members may submit to\u00a0<em>the<\/em>\u00a0<em>Timberline Review<\/em>\u00a0free of charge. Members of the BIPOC, LQBTQIA+ and disabilities communities are also encouraged to submit free of charge. The submission fee is not a reading fee &#8211; it helps cover the cost of\u00a0<em>the Timberline Review\u00a0<\/em>educational programming.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not a member of Willamette Writers, please use the guest submission form.
