We\u2019re looking for work from bigender\/polygender persons, cisgender women, intergender persons\/intersex persons, non-binary persons\/gender non-conforming persons, transgender women\/transfeminine persons, two-spirit. In other words, \u00a0<strong>if you are a cis man, please refrain from submitting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Faith is a tricky business. It\u2019s personal and it\u2019s political and it\u2019s sometimes the source of heartache and trauma. In July, we\u2019re collecting your stories about faith. How it has shaped you, formed your world view or broken you down. Give us the beautiful and the messy. Break our hearts and bring us joy.<br \/>\n** HerStry is always happy to share stories anonymously\u2014if your story is selected for publication, simply let your editor know you would not like your name shared **<\/p>\n<p>The Rules:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All stories must be true and about you.<\/li>\n<li>Stories must follow the theme in some way, interpretations can be wide.<\/li>\n<li>Stories must stay between 500\u20133,000 words.<\/li>\n<li>Documents should be double spaced, 12Pt font with 1 inch margins.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions must be in .doc or .docx form\u2014<strong>we do not accept PDFs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Please\u00a0<strong>do not<\/strong>\u00a0put your name on your manuscript. We realize in personal essays, the author\u2019s name often comes up, so just use your best discretion.<\/li>\n<li>Please include a third person bio. Cover letters are fine, but not necessary (we don\u2019t read them, we\u2019re more interested in what you\u2019ve written).<\/li>\n<li>Please submit\u00a0<strong>only once<\/strong>\u00a0per theme.<\/li>\n<li>We do not accept previously published stories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HerStry centers the experiences of women identifying persons.
