All My Relations<\/em>\u00a0Volume 5 is an art and lit, online and printed magazine, exploring the theme of overcoming. This volume is open to BIPOC, gender variant, and disabled creatives only, in consideration of the theme. Own voices only, please.<\/h4>\n

We are looking for<\/strong>\u00a0honest pieces reflecting on times you overcame an obstacle either internal or external, how your ancestors may have overcome obstacles, or musings on alternate universes where people are given the space and abundance to come as they are without having to overcome. We are looking for pieces that honor your experience, honor your journey, imagine the absence of otherization, and\/or aid in communal healing.<\/p>\n

Requirements for Submissions<\/h4>\n

We require written submissions<\/strong>\u00a0to be under 5,000 words for fiction and nonfiction and under 5 pages for poetry, submitted in a Word Document or text file. PDFs will not be considered and will be rejected outright. Submissions must be in English as, unfortunately, that is the only language we can read. Do feel free to add words in a language other than English and we will consult Google or other resources, but the submission must be primarily in English.<\/p>\n

We will accept simultaneous submissions.<\/strong>\u00a0Please let us know if it is a simultaneous submission (in the \u201cAnything you want our editors to know about your piece\u201d section of the form) and\u00a0let us know as soon as you do<\/a>\u00a0if it has been accepted elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Our form requires the following information:<\/strong>\u00a0your name as you\u2019d like it to appear, the name of the piece as you\u2019d like it to appear, trigger warnings if necessary, and answers to our identity questions.<\/p>\n

We aim to have a diverse publication from a diverse set of voices.<\/strong>\u00a0In order to make sure we do that, we need to know who you are. We will not deny someone based on identity unless it is deemed that the submission becomes inappropriate or appropriation due to the submitter\u2019s identity. Things that we would consider inappropriate or appropriation would include writing about what it\u2019s like to\u00a0be<\/em>\u00a0part of a historically marginalized community you do not belong to. We encourage people outside of the community to include people from historically marginalized communities, but we won\u2019t publish pieces that explain what it\u2019s like to\u00a0be<\/em>\u00a0part of those communities.
