To be considered, entries must be original fiction of up to 1500 words,\u00a0inspired by the theme.<\/p>\n

Writers may enter a maximum of three stories.<\/p>\n

FEES: Standard entry is \u00a310 per story<\/p>\n

\u2022 Contestants must be 18+ by August 15th 2023<\/p>\n

\u2022 Submissions must contain an original\u00a0title<\/strong>\u00a0(obligatory) and be prose-based. Do not place any identifying information on the submission document. This is to allow for fair adjudication.<\/p>\n

\u2022 For administrative purposes, we ask that you type: PERISCOPE OPEN in the email subject line. Please add some basic contact information, your real name (and a brief bio if you want to brighten the coordinator\u2019s day) in the email body.<\/p>\n

\u2022 A fee request will be sent from PayPal on receipt of your submission. Prior to this, you will receive a confirmation email (within 48 hours of submitting).<\/p>\n

\u2022 We ask for one-time publication rights in regard to the winner and honourable mentions. Authors retain all other rights to their work.<\/p>\n

\u2022 We accept simultaneous submissions but please notify us immediately so we can withdraw your entry if it has been successful elsewhere.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Please\u00a0do not\u00a0<\/strong>submit work that has been successful in another contest or published elsewhere (bar your personal website).<\/p>\n
