In November 2023 we will publish our third annual issue of\u00a0Quaker Fiction<\/strong>\u00a0(you can read through our\u00a0first<\/u><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0second<\/u><\/a>\u00a0issues here). It\u2019s open to all genres\u2014crime, fantasy, romance, science fiction and horror, young adult, and more. Surprise us with your work!<\/p>\n

For this special issue, we\u2019re seeking short stories from 500-2000 words, and flash fiction of less than 500 words. We\u2019re seeking stories of Quakers and their experiences outside of what is true of the world we inhabit today.<\/p>\n

We welcome submissions from Friends and non-Friends alike. While we\u2019re casting a wide net, we\u2019re not the right market for erotica or extreme horror. We are also not a market for fan fiction or other works that use other folks\u2019 intellectual property. We are a queer-affirming publication and will not be accepting any work based in homophobia, transphobia, or general racism, sexism, bigotry, or fascism.<\/p>\n
