We don\u2019t<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>have a preference for presentation, font, or style, as long as it will fit in the magazine.<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>Remember, we have to be able to read your work to accept it<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Each issue will be themed. We set themes by the art, life, and lusts that have gripped our<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>own minds and given our tongues friction burns. Good, bad, or morose, we want to have<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>themes to cultivate inventive responses to further inspire others in their own work<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">We accept simultaneous submissions, but please let us know as soon as possible if your<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>work has found a home elsewhere so we can celebrate with you<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">We do not accept previously published work, including work which has appeared on social<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>media<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">You will always retain ownership of your work. Cape simply asks that you credit us with the<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>First Electronic Rights, but we wouldn\u2019t use your work without\u00a0permission, including re-prints. You always retain the right to deny us permission<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">If your work is ekphrastic, please be aware of the rights the work you\u2019re referencing may<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>have. We take plagiarism very seriously. We love homage, pastiche, satire, and the odd Big<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>Lebowski quote, but be mindful of how you utilise these writing tools. The Dude abides by\u00a0copyright laws<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">HOW TO SUBMIT<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Send your work with a short biography (up to 150 words), a quick statement about how your<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>piece(s) reacts to the theme (a couple of sentences is fine), and feel free to shoot your social<br class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" \/>media handles our way<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Work submitted outside the submission window be will automatically declined<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Don\u2019t put your name on your work so that we can view it anonymously.
