We actively seek diverse material for our themed issues. Poems and prose of all kinds are welcome. Surprise us!<\/p>\n

We\u2019re back after a long hiatus and seeking work about the end. Send us your take on the end of a meal, the close of a journey, the end of life, or anything else. We\u2019re excited to see your poems and prose.<\/p>\n

Deadline: August 30, 2023<\/p>\n

General submission info<\/strong><\/p>\n

Writing should be less than 1500 words (we\u2019re pocket-sized). Art can be of any format that shows up well in print. Send all material to\u00a0thefoldy@gmail.com<\/a>, with Submission in the subject line. Attach text as .doc files and images as JPGs, GIFs, or PNGs (300 dpi or higher, please).<\/p>\n

We accept previously published pieces if they are awesome, as well as simultaneous submissions. If your piece is accepted for another publication, please let us know immediately.<\/p>\n

By submitting, you agree that \u2014 if we accept your work and you accept our acceptance \u2014\u00a0Pocket Guide<\/em>\u00a0can publish your work, with non-exclusive reprint rights. You also grant\u00a0Pocket Guide<\/em>\u00a0the right to archive and showcase this work on our website. All other rights remain yours as the sole owner of the work.<\/p>\n

Pocket Guide<\/em>\u00a0is an almost exclusively hard-copy publication. Text or artwork may be published occasionally on this website for promotional purposes, with full credit to the authors\/creators.<\/p>\n

We are not able to pay contributors. You will, however, become small-time famous by getting your name in print. You will also receive five (5) free copies of\u00a0Pocket Guide<\/em>\u00a0to distribute to admiring friends and family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
