Theme: &#8220;Strangers&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are a quarterly magazine that features a dozen or so stories that could be best described as the black sheep of the literary world. So send us the stories and stanzas that don&#8217;t quite fit in anywhere else.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of our autumn issue is &#8220;strangers.&#8221; \u00a0Send us anything quirky and unique that related to the theme in any way.<\/p>\n<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\">Submissions<\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>Unfortunately, at this time we are a non-paying venue, but contributors will receive a free digital copy of the issue that their work appears in.<\/p>\n<p><em>Short stories<\/em>: 50-3,000 words. Works outside this range will still be considered, but are a harder sell. Submit up to three at a time in a single document.<\/p>\n<p><em>Poetry<\/em>: 2-60 lines. Submit up to three at a time in a single document.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No sexism, racism, ageism, ableism, or any other\u00a0<em>isms<\/em>.<br \/>\nWorks may contain these themes so long as they are not glorified;<\/li>\n<li>It must be your own original work;<\/li>\n<li>It must be previously unpublished<br \/>\n<em>exceptions<\/em>: works posted on personal blogs, websites, Patreon, Reddit, etc. Artwork can be submitted if it is still in your right to do so after a previous publication;<\/li>\n<li>It does not infringe on existing copyright material (this includes fan fiction);<\/li>\n<li>No AI-rendered art or text;<\/li>\n<li>Submit once per reading period;<\/li>\n<li>Simultaneous submissions are okay, if accepted elsewhere let us know ASAP;<\/li>\n<li>Please don\u2019t resubmit a rejected piece. If you\u2019ve made significant revisions, contact us first.<\/li>\n<li>We read submissions blind.\u00a0<strong>Do not put any identifying information on your submission<\/strong>, including the file name.
