Where does it live? And how does hybridizing create that secret third thing? We\u2019re curious about the possibility of the hybrid, its spirit, generations, and generative qualities; its rendering into something capacious enough to hold the boundlessness of the in-between, the cut-up, the collab. And in the context of nations and worldviews intent on categorizing and punishing the act of mixing or joining together, what does hybridity promise for those of us who don\u2019t fit neatly into established norms of nation, sexuality, body, and more?<\/p>\n<p>Send us your cross-genre mash-ups, poetry comics or collages, ekphrastic combines, fragmentary epistles, mixtapes on repeat, queerings of genre\/space\/time, counter-colonial translations, intertextual visions\u2014the unexpected work that creates its own language and rules. If you\u2019re a writer who lives between worlds, or if hybridity speaks to you in a different way, we also want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>PROSE GUIDELINES<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-unorderedListItem m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-depth0 m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-listLTR\">\n<div class=\"m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-block m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">Submit only one piece at a time, unless you are submitting flash fiction or non-fiction (under 1,000 words), in which case you may submit up to three pieces in a single document.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-unorderedListItem m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-depth0 m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-listLTR\">\n<div class=\"m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-block m_-7240705680274586585gmail-public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">Our recommended length for submissions is approximately 4,000 words or less. We have a limited page count per issue and aim to offer a platform for as many talented writers as possible.
