To submit your work, click on the teacup above to fill out a Google Form where you can upload your work & give us an artist statement to include \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/span><\/span>If the form is not working, please email\u00a0thevelveteenshrike@gmail.com<\/a>, and also ask any burning questions you have!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We’re into poetry, flash fiction, and nonfiction \u2014pretty much anything creative. Our editions are on the smaller side, with 25-35 pieces of content total. Poetry entries tend to be highly competitive, so make sure to send us your best work!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With these rules in mind you may:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– Upload up to 5 poems\u00a0(please include them all in one document)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– Upload up to 2 essays up to 2000 words\u00a0(can be academic or stream-of-consciousness)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– Upload up to 2 fiction pieces under 1000 words<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All successful creators will be emailed upon the release of the online magazine.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
