Beneath the Mask is a student-led magazine that publishes multi-media art that reveals one true, unfiltered self. The Beneath the Mask staff found that there is a bigger silent buffer between our mask and what lies\u00a0beneath. We aim to make publications more accessible to writers and artists by creating a landing platform for their unrestricted creativity and for works that go<\/span>\u00a0beyond conventional interpretations.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u2727 This issue’s theme is PETRICHOR! \u2727<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2727 We aim to promote the diverse voices of artists from different backgrounds and experiences, going beyond conventional interpretations.\u00a0In Issue Three, we are looking for the awkward, weird, and unique, so really send us anything — unfiltered and all!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2727\u00a0<\/span>We publish previously unpublished pieces by those ages 14-23 (but if you do not fit within the age range, don’t refrain from submitting!). We maintain First World Electronic Serial Rights and Non-Exclusive Archival Rights. All rights revert back to contributors upon publication.\u00a0We also welcome international submissions!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2727 Simultaneous submissions are allowed! If your piece is accepted elsewhere (congrats!), please email us at\u00a0beneaththemasklitmag@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0to withdraw your submission.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2727 Our response time is\u00a02 to 4 weeks<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0If you do not receive a response within that time frame, feel free to email us regarding the status of your submission.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    No more than 5,000 words<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    One prose per submission<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    POETRY:<\/span><\/p>\n

      No more than 10<\/span>0 lines per poem<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      1-3 poems per submission<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      We are open to other forms of writing as we<\/span>ll (just send it our way!), but please keep the word count under 5,000 words<\/span><\/p>\n
