If you are making a submission for the “Men & Work” section in the 2nd edition of\u00a0Heart of a Man,<\/i>\u00a0please attach it as a pdf, docx, pages or rtf file, but preferably a pdf. Submissions\u00a0by men<\/b>\u00a0of fiction, non-fiction, memoir, narrative essay, and narrative poetry, on the subject of men & work, are encouraged.<\/p>\n
Stories about men dealing with work, men dying at work, men dying from work, men loving work, men hating work, men having to do work, men wanting to do work, work that isn\u2019t work, work that is very much work, and more, are welcome. PLEASE don’t send pieces that are not about men and work.<\/p>\n
The story should be male-unique, one that by and large could only have happened to a man, and that shows who men are.<\/p>\n
Published submissions will be paid $0.05\/published word. Our contract is a license to use the work; authors retain their copyrights.<\/p>\n
Vineyards Press will publish the paperback in 2022. Bill Amatneek is the editor of this edition of Heart of a Man, and edited the first edition as well.
\nThe book will be available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, HeartOfAMan.net, and for bookstores and libraries, at Ingram Content Group.<\/p>\n
On the first page of your attachment, your submission must have the\u00a0Title,<\/b>\u00a0your\u00a0full name, phone number, snail-mail address,<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0email address<\/b>. You should begin your first piece on that page. Your submission and may be as many 8,500 words.<\/p>\n
