For our next issue, we are not looking for paraphrases or explanations of his ode. Rather, we want poems that spring from Keats\u2019s vision.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One possible prompt is to use a line or part of a line as an epigraph and to go from there.\u00a0 Another prompt is to write into one of Keats\u2019s themes, such as the immortality of art, or how a poem (like a vase) is a unit unto itself.\u00a0 A poem is static in that it has been given a finished form, but the images within the poem can seem quite active.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of course, a writer could also dive deep into Keats\u2019s famous line, \u201cBeauty is truth, truth beauty.\u201d\u00a0 We must see some connection to Keats\u2019s poem, but the connection need not be overtly obvious.\u00a0 Surprise us!<\/p>\n<h1><strong>HOW TO SUBMIT<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1><strong>Failure to follow these simple guidelines will result in your submission being discarded or returned to you unread!<\/strong><\/h1>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><u><strong>Please resist the urge to include anything with your submission that we do not specifically request<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/u><strong><u>especially your bio<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>(we like to read as blindly as possible), credits (we treat the novice and the experienced equally), or explanatory notes (if you believe your poem requires an explanation, please revise it until it doesn&#8217;t).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> Submit up to THREE poems\u00a0<\/strong><strong>to: \u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>submissionssofe@gmail.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>There is no fee to submit.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> Your Subject Line\u00a0<\/strong>should be formatted as follows: \u00a0[Poetry Submission][Title]<strong>[<em>Specific Form of poem, such as Free Verse or Shakespearean Sonnet<\/em>]<\/strong>[Poet&#8217;s Last Name].<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> If you are submitting more than one poem, each should appear in a separate email, and each email should include a separate cover letter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>If your poem has multiple numbered sections, each section will &#8220;count&#8221; as ONE poem. \u00a0If your poem contains more than three sections, query first.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>5<\/strong>.
