We are excited to invite poets to contribute to CultureCult\u2019s upcoming poetry anthology, \u201cPowerless<\/strong>\u201c<\/p>\n

This collection seeks to explore the myriad dimensions of powerlessness, whether it be through personal narratives, societal observations, or abstract musings. We aim to gather voices that express what it means to feel without agency, silenced, or marginalised, and the subtle ways power dynamics shape our existence.<\/p>\n

We welcome submissions from poets of all backgrounds and experiences, particularly those whose voices have historically been marginalised.<\/p>\n

Join us in creating an anthology that resonates with the struggles and triumphs of those who navigate the complexities of power and agency. We look forward to reading your powerful and poignant poetry!<\/p>\n

THE FINAL DATE OF SUBMISSION IS JULY 21,\u00a0 2024<\/p>\n

WE ARE ACCEPTING<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Poetry:\u00a0<\/strong>(Maximum 100 lines) Send no more than FIVE pieces<\/p>\n

We are accepting\u00a0TRANSLATED<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>POEMS<\/strong>\u00a0as well.\u00a0Submission of translated works must be accompanied by a statement declaring that the translator has obtained the poet\u2019s permission and their publisher\u2019s, if required.<\/em><\/p>\n

Simultaneous Submissions<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0are welcome but the poet must inform us by e-mail as soon as the submitted piece is accepted elsewhere. Pieces cannot be withdrawn once CultureCult Press informs the author of their acceptance for publication.<\/p>\n

We consider\u00a0reprints<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0but generally do not publish them unless they are absolutely exceptional.<\/p>\n

\u200b\u200b<\/em><\/strong>At present, we are unable to pay our contributors.<\/p>\n

Each contributor shall receive a COMPLIMENTARY DIGITAL COPY of the anthology as soon as it publishes.<\/p>\n

Poems should directly be sent to\u00a0CCAnthologySubs@<\/u>gmail.com<\/strong>\u00a0in a single doc file. Each poem should ideally begin on a separate page. Please include your full legal name and contact information on the first page of the document.<\/p>\n

Emails must have the subject line \u201cSubmission for POWERLESS<\/strong>\u201c<\/p>\n

Each piece\u00a0MUST<\/strong>\u00a0be attached with a\u00a0short bio\u00a0<\/strong>(preferably within 100 words) and, if possible, a\u00a0photograph of the poet<\/strong>\u00a0to go along with publication.<\/p>\n
