Hey friends!<\/strong> Thanks for considering us for your work! We\u2019re currently OPEN<\/strong><\/span> for submissions for Issue 004:<\/strong> BODY<\/strong><\/span> until August 31st.<\/p>\n

Karma Comes Before is a literary arts community and magazine showcasing queer, POC and differently abled voices, but open to all writers and artists!<\/p>\n

We accept submissions once a year<\/strong> for our print<\/strong> and digital<\/strong> issue, and we\u2019d love to have a peek at your brilliant work. Send us your short memoirs, flash fiction, poetry, and prose for a chance to be showcased.<\/p>\n

How to submit:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We accept submissions via email. Send your submissions to kcbthemag@gmail.com<\/a>. Please include a 3-4 sentence bio and your social media handles. NO COVER LETTER REQUIRED (who wants to read or<\/em> write those?)<\/p>\n

What we accept: <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Let\u2019s get specific! We accept one<\/strong> short memoir under 3,000 words, three<\/strong> flash fiction pieces under 1,000 words each, and up to five<\/strong> poems per submitter.<\/p>\n

We DO NOT<\/strong> tolerate hate speech of any kind and we ask that you send your work with any relevant trigger warnings upfront.<\/p>\n

We’re also open to previously published work<\/strong>, as long as it fits the theme of the issue.<\/p>\n

Who can submit:<\/strong> <\/span><\/h4>\n

We accept creative work from all storytellers and artists! You don\u2019t need to be previously published to submit to us; if you have a story to tell, we want to read it!<\/p>\n

Submissions for Issue 004 <\/strong>are CURRENTLY OPEN <\/strong>until August 31st!<\/strong><\/p>\n

If your work is selected, we’ll send you a victory dance-inducing email from kcbthemag@gmail.com\u2014and here\u2019s the best part: If we feature your work in the magazine, we might use it for some of our awesome merch (with your permission, of course!). And guess what? We’ll shoutout your social media handles in the product description and share 50% of the profits<\/strong> with you via PayPal!<\/p>\n
