Cordella Press seeks to record and share the creative voices of women-identified and nonbinary people from all walks of life, exploring the ways that our spirit and sense of self is engaged with our physical place and daily experiences. Our purpose is to encourage one another to know ourselves more deeply, to value the stories we have to tell, and to connect with a sense of feminine wisdom and community that has nourished women throughout history.<\/p>\n

We honor the diversity of spirituality, and recognize that the edification of one’s spiritual life brings healing to our earth, to our families and communities, and to ourselves. We center marginalized voices and prioritize the work of BIPOC creatives. We seek to create a safe and welcoming space for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. We reserve the right to remove any work from\u00a0Cordella Magazine<\/em>\u00a0if it comes to our attention that the author is an abuser.<\/p>\n

We are particularly interested in work that relates to a sense of spiritual life, ecology, and community, but we welcome submissions of all kinds that reflect one’s unique stories. We accept poetry, short fiction, essays, memoir and other creative non-fiction, as well as visual art. We also invite proposals for interviews and featured musicians. We accept work from women-identifying and nonbinary people.<\/p>\n

Themes and Submission Deadlines<\/h3>\n

Each issue of Cordella <\/em>has a broad theme. We encourage submissions that relate to the theme on some level, but this is not a requirement for publication. Upcoming themes and deadlines are as follows:<\/p>\n

Submission Process<\/h3>\n

To submit work to Cordella<\/em>, please send your documents to us through Submittable<\/strong><\/a>. Please do not email your submissions.<\/strong> Cordella<\/em> is created by a small band of volunteers, and unfortunately we are unable to respond personally to all incoming submissions. However, if three months have passed without response, feel free to check in with us on the status of your submission. Thanks for trusting us with your work, and for your patience!<\/p>\n

PAYMENT<\/h3>\n

As we are an independent micro press, and our site has never been monetized, we unfortunately cannot offer payment to our contributors at this time.<\/p>\n

Rights<\/h3>\n

You retain full rights to your work after publication. If published in an online issue or in Field Notes, your work will remain on the Cordella<\/em> website indefinitely.
