From breaking down the stereotypes of toxic masculinity to embracing emotional vulnerability, it highlights the intersection of language, culture, and societal expectations surrounding what is deemed \u201cmasculine\u201d and \u201cfeminine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">We are eager to publish firsthand experiences by men, factual retellings of stories told by men in the author\u2019s life, and reflections of the author\u2019s personal experiences with emotion, identity, and the male experience. We encourage submissions from all over the world, regardless of gender or identity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Themes:<\/strong> Firsthand experiences by men, masculinity and toxic masculinity, emotional expression, societal norms, language and identity, author reflections on factual retellings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Submission Guidelines<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Before submitting, please review the following guidelines, including (1) IHRAM\u2019s accepted media, required supplemental information, and quarterly magazine themes. We are only accepting pieces which align with our annual themes at this time. Thank you!<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The <strong>Ihram<em>Press<\/em><\/strong> is interested in reviewing and publishing the following for the 2025 quarterly magazine:<\/p>\n<ol data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Poetry \u2014 Maximum 5 poems per submission*<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Short stories<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Essay (2500 words or less)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\">\n<p class=\"\">*<em>One publication per author.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Please submit your poetry, short story, or essay to <a href=\"mailto:submit@humanrightsartmovement.org\"><strong>submit@humanrightsartmovement.org<\/strong><\/a> along with the following required information:<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Your full name and\/or pen name.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Your country of residence.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">A brief third-person bio (roughly 100 words). If your bio includes references of your past work, feel free to provide links!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">A brief foreword to your piece (between 300-500 words), explaining your inspiration for creating it, background information, explanation of key characters, and any other key insight for the reader.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-small\">*<em>If your piece is accepted, we will request a high-resolution author photograph.
