{"id":661,"date":"2022-01-20T21:33:49","date_gmt":"2022-01-21T02:33:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anovelapproach.ca\/submission_calendar\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=661"},"modified":"2022-01-20T21:42:50","modified_gmt":"2022-01-21T02:42:50","slug":"pfn-call-for-submissions-to-the-saltbush-review","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/anovelapproach.ca\/submission_calendar\/event\/pfn-call-for-submissions-to-the-saltbush-review\/","title":{"rendered":"PFN &#8211; Call for Submissions to The Saltbush Review on the theme: &#8220;Land&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The Saltbush Review<\/em>\u00a0publishes literary fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submissions are currently open!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline extended until the 25th February 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For our second issue we are seeking submissions of short fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction (including essays and life writing) of up to 3,000 words on the theme of \u2018<strong>Land<\/strong>.\u2019 Shorter works such as flash fiction are also welcome, as are works that challenge genre boundaries.<\/p>\n<p><em>Land. Earth. Country. Eco-Writing. Nation. Borders. Dispossession. Diaspora.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Creative interpretations of the theme are welcome. For a sense of what we publish, have a look at Issue 1 here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/saltbushreview.com\/issue-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-extlink=\"\">https:\/\/saltbushreview.com\/issue-1\/<span class=\"ext\"><span class=\"element-invisible\">(link is external)<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Submissions are open to all, but we particularly welcome work from South Australian and regional writers, emerging writers, First Nations and POC writers, the LGBTQI+ community, and writers with a disability.<\/p>\n<p>Please send submissions in a Word document using Times New Roman size 12 font and 1.5 line spacing to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:saltbushreview@gmail.com\">saltbushreview@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0by the\u00a0<strong>25th of February 2022.<\/strong>\u00a0Please also include a 50 word biographical statement. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to reading your writing!<\/p>\n<p><em>The Saltbush Review <\/em>is a digital literary journal founded in 2021 and based on Kaurna land.
