For our sixth issue, we\u2019re exploring the idea of NOSTALGIA. Whether a longing for the sentiments of the past, or a marketing trend that capitalizes on childhood favorites, we often find comfort in yesterday when today presents challenges.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

But that comfort is often rooted in the pain of longing, the disdain for change, and the fear of moving forward.<\/p>\n

How does this powerful force influence your life?<\/p>\n

Expected publication late August 2025. Please submit a new form for each genre.<\/p>\n

Genre:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Poetry<\/strong>, including prose poems: One poem, up to two pages \u2013 Read by Kristin. *Editors note: I have a strong preference for shorter, free-verse works but I\u2019d love for you to knock my socks off with longer, metrical, or rhyming works.<\/p>\n

Flash and MicroFiction<\/strong>: maximum three pieces up to a total of 1500 words \u2013 read by Melissa<\/p>\n

Creative Nonfiction<\/strong>\u00a0(CNF): maximum two pieces up to 1k words each \u2013 read by Genalea<\/p>\n

(All final decisions are joint.)<\/p>\n

Format:<\/strong> Please submit your work using our Google Form. Attach your file as a Doc or docx (If this is a problem submit how you need to and give us a heads up in your email), saved as \u201cgenre-last name\u201d such as \u201cPoetry-Houlihan.\u201d No cover letter required; we will ask for a short third-person bio with website upon acceptance.<\/p>\n

Simultaneous submissions and previously published work are welcome; please note the original publication so we may give appropriate credit. Collaborations are welcome.<\/p>\n
