Submissions for Issue No. 2 – Winter 2026 \u2014 are NOW OPEN through Nov. 30, 2025. The Issue No. 2 prompt and theme is: <\/em><\/span>Islands: Real, Imagined & Metaphoric<\/em><\/span>. This is meant to be a broad prompt \u2014 poems about independence, isolation, resilience, nature, and singularity, for example, all might fit!<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

Please submit your poems for our consideration through email, to prudencedispatch@gmail.com. Submissions should be in Word format or in the body of the email. Please include a personal statement of no more than 250 words.<\/h4>\n

Submission Guidelines:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Please submit only unpublished original poems. Simultaneous submissions are permitted, but please withdraw your submissions from us if a poem is accepted elsewhere.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n

    We prefer shorter poems (that will fit on a single page) and poems that connect nature to the human experience.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n

    Please submit no more than 3 poems at one time, and please do not submit more often than once per calendar year. We will endeavor to respond to all submissions within thirty (30) days.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n

    Upon acceptance of your work, Prudence Dispatch would acquire only first-publication rights. You would retain all rights to re-publication, subject only to citation to Prudence Dispatch as the first publisher.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
