101 Portraits<\/p>\n
SandCrab Books along with the Canada Cuba Literary Alliance CCLA and its affiliate, CCLA Federation of
\nPhotography, are looking for poems, micro prose and photographs that explore and navigate the theme
\nof portraits to be included in an upcoming eBook of photographs and poetry, edited by poetry Editor,
\nAntony Di Nardo, and photography Curator, Wency Rosales.<\/p>\n

For your poem and your micro prose feel free to interpret the theme as broadly as
\npossible \u2014 a family portrait framed in couplets, a profile sketched in single syllables, a lyrical snap, the
\nselfie as distortion, or even a sweeping epic\u00adpic.
\nPortraits capture our human essence, our longings and desires, both our comic and tragic sensibilities.
\nPortraits can project our innermost and outermost dimensions. Portraits put a stamp on identity as well
\nas mark a \u201cWanted\u201d poster. A portrait can be either biographical or unreal, domestic or surreal. Think
\nSelf\u2010portrait in a Convex Mirror. Think Picasso. Think Lucian Freud. Think Yousuf Karsh or Annie Leibowitz.

\npossible (See description above).
\n\u2013 Submissions in English only.
\n\u2013 Include your name, email address, your mailing address in a MS Word document attachment.
\n\u2013 Send 3 poems maximum.
\n\u2013 Send a 50\u00adword bio with your submissions in the same MS Word document attachment.
\n\u2013 Send your poetry submission as an attachment \u2013 one attachment only \u2013 including all your
\npoems in one document. NOT in the body of the email.
\n\u2013 Previously unpublished work only.<\/p>\n
