37th Annual Poetry Anthology Contest<\/h2>\n

The Niagara Branch of the Canadian Authors Association is holding its 37th Annual Poetry Anthology contest\u00a0for residents of Ontario only<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Entry Deadline: May 31, 2022<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Contest results will be posted on our website in\u00a0 early August.<\/li>\n
  • Only poets with work chosen for the anthology will be notified.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Submission Rules:<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Entries must be in English, previously unpublished and\u00a0not under consideration elsewhere<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Number of entries is unlimited. Up to four poems from one poet can appear in the anthology.<\/li>\n
    • By entering the contest, you agree to receive future mail-outs about our contest, and give the CAA Niagara Branch first rights to publish your poem in The Banister.<\/li>\n
    • Submissions will be accepted from Ontario residents only<\/li>\n
    • Submissions will not be returned.\u00a0However poets without internet access may include a self-addressed stamped envelope for replies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Prizes include publication in The Banister:<\/h4>\n
        \n
      • First Prize-$300<\/li>\n
      • Second Prize-$200<\/li>\n
      • Third Prize-$100<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Submission Requirements:<\/h4>\n
          \n
        • Print should be black in 12 pt. Times New Roman on 8.5 x 11inch white bond paper, one side only, one poem per page. Line lengths exceeding 50 characters may be broken at the discretion of the committee.<\/li>\n
        • Poems running to two pages require a title and page number at the top of each page.<\/li>\n
        • No poems longer than two pages will be accepted.<\/li>\n
        • Your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and titles of your poem(s)\u00a0must appear on a separate title page only<\/strong>. There should be no identifying marks on poem pages.<\/li>\n
        • Please indicate where you heard about our contest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Entry Fees to be paid by cheque accompanying the submission:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          • $15 includes up to three poems; $4 for each additional entry<\/strong><\/li>\n
          • Cheques to be made payable to:\u00a0Canadian Authors Association \u2013 Niagara Branch<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
