Theme: &#8220;Hunger&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>General Submission Guidelines: FERAL: A Journal of Poetry &amp; Art<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>We\u2019ve made some changes to our guidelines so please read all the information below.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What we are looking for: We want your brave, your pain, your love, your teeth, your howling beast. All styles, forms and schools of poetry are welcome.<br \/>\nPlease note that at the core of both FERAL and Animal Heart press is love. Although we wish it didn\u2019t need to be said, we will not accept any work that is racist, homophobic, sexist or discriminatory. We are committed to publishing a variety of new, emerging and established voices. Further, we are committed to inclusion and equity in publishing. We highly encourage submissions from underrepresented voices including, but not limited to: women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent individuals. International submissions are welcome, but we are only considering work in English at this time; no translations.<br \/>\nFERAL nominates for the Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions should be sent to:\u00a0feralpoetryandart[AT]gmail[DOT]com<br \/>\nIn the subject line of your email please type: LAST NAME \u2013 TYPE OF SUBMISSION (for example: GORDON \u2013 POETRY).<br \/>\nCover Letters: We\u2019ve heard you loud and clear about how daunting many of you find writing cover letters, so they are no longer required.<br \/>\nIf you want to include a cover letter we\u2019d like to know a little about you (this is not your bio but rather an introduction to you as a human\/poet\/artist).\u00a0At a minimum, in the body of your email, please provide your name and preferred pronouns.<\/p>\n<p><strong>POETRY:<\/strong><br \/>\nFor poetry submissions, please submit 1-4 poems and attach your submission in a single document (doc. docx. pdf.)\u00a0Please do not put your name or any identifying information on the submission.
