\"\"The ninth Bath Short Story Award is\u00a0open for entries<\/a>. We welcome stories of up to 2200 words on any subject or theme from anywhere in the world. Before entering, please check the rules<\/a>\u00a0for more details.
\nThis year, the competition is judged by novelist, short story writer, playwright and writing teacher,\u00a0Paul McVeigh<\/a>\u00a0who has judged many short story awards.\u00a0Read our interview with him t<\/a>o find out more about him and what he looks for in a short story.
\nThe longlist and shortlist for the 2022 Award is likely to be announced in July 2022 and the winners by August 2022.<\/p>\n

Prizes as follows:
\n\u00a31200, first prize
\n\u00a3300, second prize
\n\u00a3100, third prize
\n\u00a3100, the\u00a0Acorn Award\u00a0<\/a>for an unpublished writer of fiction.
\n\u00a350 in book vouchers for the local prize, donated by Mr B\u2019s Emporium of Books, Bath.<\/p>\n
