All themes broadly interpreted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please read our submissions guidelines carefully before submitting your work.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our rates for published stories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>$20 for published featured- author stories<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>$10 for stories published on our &amp;More page<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>$5 for poems we publish<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We only accept work from authors 18 years of age or older.<\/p>\n<p>We only accept work written in the English language.<\/p>\n<p>Please submit\u00a0only\u00a0<em>one\u00a0story\u00a0<\/em>or<em>\u00a0one poem<\/em> for consideration at a time. Do not submit more than one story or poem until after you receive a final response to any prior submission. Once you receive either an acceptance or rejection, you are\u00a0 welcome to submit a different work to us.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fiction &#8211; <\/strong>We accept work in most genres of fiction (excluding erotica and horror) as well as memoir and poetry.\u00a0 Works of flash fiction can be up to 1,000 words, while short stories must be 1,000 to 2,000 words<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nonfiction &#8211; <\/strong>We do not accept essays, only narrative nonfiction of up to 2,000 words<\/p>\n<p><strong>Poetry &#8211; <\/strong>We accept most genres, excluding horror and erotica.
