You are welcome to submit anything from eco / environmental poetry to pastoral poetry. As always, we encourage you to bend the rules with both content and form.
The contest is open to all styles of poetry from national and international participants writing in English.
Whether it’s love at first sight, misunderstood intentions, a big reveal, forbidden love or a decisive moment, play with unconventional storytelling and make the judges take notice.
The Coniston Prize is an annual award that recognizes an exceptional group of poems by a woman writing in English. Any poet who identifies as a woman is eligible.
Isn’t the start of something new incredibly, deliciously exciting? Here at CRAFT, we want to share in that excitement by reading the first chapter(s) of your novel in progress.
The idea of expertise, and at least one person who has it (or doesn't?) has to matter to the story.

A friend recently recounted a challenging period when he felt like he was living under water. Then, he said, it was as if he grew gills. This month’s call welcomes poems about breathing under water.
For this contest, we hope writers will explore the hidden beauty, resilience, heartbreak, disappointment, and wisdom that stem from the greatest setbacks.
The theme can be broadly interpreted Your story of poem can relate to mountaineering or to love, finance, sport or any situation / emotion / idea which has a link to "risking all".

For this 2024 tribute contest, we will be accepting submissions during National Suicide Prevention Week (Sep. 8th-14th)
30th July is International Friendship Day, so send us stories in any style or genre where friendship of some kind is a key element.
What are we looking for? A story that surprises us in its approach to the prompt, something unusual and creative.
The competition has an open theme; entrants may write on any subject or subjects of their choice.
Competition open to unpublished poets only.
Poems submitted may be on any theme.
First Prize in both Flash Fiction and Poetry is €300.
The theme is love – and it’s yours to interpret as broadly, as interestingly, and as tenuously as you wish.
