We want contributors to explore every facet of our themes, really getting in between the cracks, in the corners, all the forgotten places that no one ever thinks to explore.

We are looking for pieces of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry that portray the writer's interpretation of purgatory.

The premise (target theme) must be an integral part of the plot, not necessarily the central theme but not merely incidental.

The theme is meant to jumpstart your imagination.  You may interpret these themes widely.

Revealing the absurd diversity of human sexual behavior and belief systems around the world.

We like good storytelling in poems metaphorically rich with imagery, poems in which every word counts, poems that leave the front porch and go beyond the trees.

Plum Tree Tavern invites original and previously unpublished poetry of green witness and red protest.

We are open to any and all interpretations of the theme.

We’re looking for stories, essays, memoir and poetry on anything to do with the body and physicality
